The e-Justice Portal provides information on accessing justice systems through the different Member States of the EU. A series of short videos has been prepared addressing different areas of justice. The videos are listed below, under the respective area of justice.

The first promotions shows general promotion of the e-Justice Platform, as a one-stop shop for judicial practitioners

The second video demostrates the business register; a tool to help you find legal information on a company.

The third video details information and procedure for service of documents in all 27 EU countries.

The fourth video is about video conferencing whereby it shows information about how to take evidence by video conference.

The fifth video is about case law whereby information on court rulings from other EU countries.

Drug Offenders Rehabilitation Board:

The Drug Offenders Rehabilitation Board (DORB) can refer cases to the Courts of Magistrates. It operates in conjunction with the judicial system to ensure that drug offenders receive appropriate rehabilitation while maintaining legal oversight and enforcement.

  •  The DORB can make recommendations to the Courts of Magistrates regarding the rehabilitation of drug offenders. This includes suggesting suitable rehabilitation programmes and measures based on the offender’s assessment.
  •  The Courts of Magistrates retain oversight of the legal proceedings and can incorporate the DORB’s recommendations into its rulings. This ensures that the offender’s rehabilitation is legally sanctioned and monitored.
  •  If an offender fails to comply with the rehabilitation measures recommended by the DORB and endorsed by the Court, the DORB can refer the case again to the Courts of Magistrates for any action in may deem necessary in accordance with the law. This may include any adjustments as deemed necessary as to the rehabilitation plan or the imposition of penalties and/or additional penalties.
  •  The DORB collaborates with the Courts of Magistrates by providing regular reports on the offender’s progress in rehabilitation. This enables the Court to make informed decisions regarding the continuation and/or modification of the offender’s rehabilitation programme.

This collaborative framework ensures that drug offenders receive the support they need for rehabilitation while maintaining accountability through the judicial system.
